For Unclear Reasons, Luke Wenke Owns a Second Property in Ashford, NY

For Unclear Reasons, Luke Wenke Owns a Second Property in Ashford, NY
January 27, 2026

During the late spring and summer of 2023 — just months following his release from federal prison — Luke Wenke purchased a very small plot of land in Ashford/Springville, New York for $570. Located on Beech Tree Road and measuring just over one acre, the property appears to be wooded but otherwise vacant, with overhead images showing no visible trace of any manmade structures.

Based on records, Wenke bought the land in a foreclosure sale. In my opinion, it does not appear to be an ideal location for constructing a home (although I could be wrong), and as many people know, the house that Wenke already owns is in disrepair, so it seems unlikely that he bought the vacant plot with any concrete plans to build on it in the near future. But I’m only speculating, and anyone’s guess is as good as mine regarding what he might have intended to use the land for.

It’s no secret that Luke Wenke views land and homeownership as a major flex and a display of superiority, despite the highly undesirable state of his Olean residence. I therefore wouldn’t put it past him to buy a seemingly useless plot of land merely for the sake of expanding his “status” as a property owner. But, again, I’m speculating.

The Ashford property is located near a mysterious collection of buildings along Watson Road, whose addresses trace back to a nonprofit research and development company called CUBRC. It’s unclear exactly what goes on at these properties (which are reportedly shrouded in secrecy and heavily guarded) or if they were, for God knows what reason, a factor in Wenke’s decision to buy a nearby plot of land. But it seemed interesting enough to point out, so I decided to share what I found.
