The Luke Wenke Files

I obtained the following police reports pertaining to Luke Wenke’s past interactions with the Olean Police Department (including an incident involving myself) through New York’s Freedom of Information Law (FOIL). Some of the information was redacted by the agency that provided the documents, and I removed some additional details to protect the complainants’ privacy. I also redacted Wenke’s birthdate and address because unlike him, I’m a decent enough person not to threaten to doxx people I dislike.

Records Request, Police Report #1
August 10^th, 2025/May 27^th, 2023

The following document contains my request for records and a police report from May 27th, 2023 (less than two months after Luke Wenke’s release from federal prison after serving his sentence for cyberstalking).

I removed the complainant’s name, but cross-checked it with Wenke’s outgoing mail logs from the Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, and Orleans County jails and discovered that Luke Wenke sent several letters to the complainant while detained for unrelated reasons after this report was made. One of the letters was addressed to “Tax Evader [Complainaint’s Name]”, so I’m guessing the correspondence was harassing or unfriendly, but I could be wrong.

The following report details a welfare check that the Olean police performed on Luke Wenke at his residence in June of 2023, two days before he was booked into the Chautauqua County Jail for violating probation by contacting his cyberstalking victim.

The report below details a past employer’s attempt to retrieve a company vehicle from Luke Wenke, who they were unable to reach because he had been arrested for violating federal probation three days earlier.

August 18^th, 2023

On the above-mentioned date, I received a phone call from an Olean police officer, who Luke Wenke had apparently complained about me to. I clarified my side of the story and emphasized my desire to be left alone by Luke Wenke and his mother, the latter of whom had texted me earlier that day with a reminder that she knew my home address:

That same day, Luke Wenke posted a series of foaming-at-the-mouth videos and rants containing patently false allegations against an unnamed person who, based on his descriptors and complaint to the police earlier that day, I believe to be myself.
