Luke Wenke sent the following email to the Honorable John L. Sinatra, Jr., who oversaw Wenke’s federal cyberstalking case, as well as Western New York businessman Carl Paladino, Carl’s son, New York Senator George Borrello, New York Assemblyman David DiPietro, Congressman Nick Langworthy, Cattaraugus County Legislator Laurie Hunt, and outgoing Olean Mayor William “Bill” Aiello.
In the email, Wenke states, “I AM NOT EVER GOING TO GO THE FUCK AWAY,” which is a good example of why I strongly emphasize that he’ll continue to stalk and harass me (and others) regardless of our reaction (or lack thereof) to his behavior. In saying this, one of my main points is that Luke Wenke would’ve never stopped obsessing over me even if this website didn’t exist. For years, I blocked and ignored him. His volatility and unwanted contact only escalated during that time, because that’s how stalkers think and operate, and there’s no reason to think that this trajectory won’t continue. The sooner people realize that Luke Wenke’s actions constitute something different than conventional harassment, the sooner people can become realistically and adequately prepared for whatever’s to come.
